πŸ”Ή1. Secure the Core Concepts First

JEE Advanced test questions are concept-based, tricky, and multi-layered.

Begin with building on strong foundations.

Recommended books:

Physics

  •  H.C. Verma

  • D.C. Pandey

  • Irodov (for high level problems)

Chemistry

  • NCERT (compulsory)

  • O.P. Tandon

  • Morrison & Boyd (Organic)

  • J.D. Lee (Inorganic)

Math

  • Cengage series

  • R.D. Sharma (basics)

  • Arihant problems

πŸ”Ή2. Solve Previous Years' JEE Advanced Papers

This is the best way to comprehend the quality of questions.

Solve:

  • Past 10–15 years.

  • Under actual exam timing

  • With a notebook for mistakes

πŸ”Ή3. Take Mock Tests Regularly

Mock tests help in:

  • Time management

  • Improvements to accuracy

  • Identifying weak chapters

  • Adapting to a computer-based format

Take 1 mock test per week, then go up to 2 tests per week closer to the exam.

πŸ”Ή4. Follow a Structured Revision Plan

Use the 3-layer revision system:

Layer 1 – Notes + Formulas

Review summary notes each week.

Layer 2 – Problem Reinforcement

Re-attempt tricky questions, error logs, and previous years.

Layer 3 – Full Mock Tests

Simulate real exam environment.

πŸ”Ή5.MASTER TIME MANAGEMENT

JEE Advanced requires strategic attempts:

  • Don't try to solve everything

  • Attention to detail

  • Skip questions which appear confusing

  • Try with confidence, rather than guessing

This reduces negative marking drastically.

πŸ”Ή6. Take Care of Your Physical & Mental Health
